Pickering Rookie Red Sox Finalist in Barrie

The Pickering Rookie Red Sox pose for a picture after a big semi-final win in Barrie, Ont.
The Rookie Red Sox were proud to represent Pickering in a Barrie ball tournament on July 4th. It was a fantastic weekend where the boys went undefeated in the round robin, and pulled out a dramtic final innnig victory against a very stong Richmond Hill team.
Our team quickly became the tournament favorite as we saw rivals teams on the fence chanting "Go Pickering" in the semi finals.
Unfotunately, the team could not get one last victory against the host Barrie team. The coaching staff and parents are VERY proud of the job the boys did.

Jalal Latif was awarded the player of the game in the finals.
