FAQ

Q. What nights does Blastball play and starting when?
A. Tues and Thurs @ 6:30 pm.

Q. What equipment does my child need for Blastball?
A. For Blastball, your child does not require equipment. Everything is soft, players receive a shirt and cap, but must wear long pants for safety reasons, good runners are a big help. Some players do bring a glove, just to get used to it, that is at your discretion; all equipment is supplied by the league, including the honking base and freezies when it is time to go home.

Q. What nights does T-Ball play and starting when?
A. Tues and Thurs from 6:30 to 8:00. The first half hour is a practice and the last hour is the game. It is important that everyone learns to play the right way so please ensure your child arrives on time for practice.

Q. What equipment does my child need to play T-ball?
A. For T-ball, your child requires a baseball glove, long pants (always), athletic support, and good runners or baseball shoes; all other equipment is supplied by the league, you can bring your own helmet and/or bat if you wish but it is not necessary.

Shirts must be tucked in for safety reasons; players must wear athletic support, good runners or baseball shoes, and supply their own glove. Players can bring their own helmets and bats if they wish, please label clearly. No rep or select gear should be worn on the field while playing house league.

Q, How many games do they play a week?
A. All divisions play 2 games per week with a practise on one of their nights about every third week, you will receive a schedule. Coaches can book practise times as desired, special equipment is available at the clubhouse for practising. Batting cages at Kirkey Diamond (Brockridge Park Finch & Kingston) can be booked for practises, please email president@pickeringbaseball.ca.

Q. Can our team practice on any diamond if it is available?
A. For insurance purposes, you need to book a practice diamond through the PBA, email president@pickeringbaseball.ca

Q. My child has never played baseball before, what level should I enroll him/her at?
A. Each division has it's own "newness" so players are all learning, children who haven't played before do not feel out of place. We recommend you place your child in his/her age-appropriate level.

Q. I cannot always drive my child to ball, I would like him/her placed with a friend.
A. Please contact your convenor and he/she will make arrangements for this. Click on your division page for your convenor's contact information. Please note that all children must have an adult in attendance while they are playing.
